Segments

This piece is inspired by Breakfast Studio's work. I was intrigued by the challenge of "The Pearl", and creating a modular, scaleable design.

After modeling the form in fusion 360 I built it with a combination of laser cut acrylic and 3D printed parts. I designed the electronics with a custom PCB to enable a modular and scalable design.

The panel motions follow the gradient of the pseudo random Perlin Noise algorithm.
